Individual Therapy

It can be helpful to have someone you can talk to regularly, who you can trust, who without a doubt is committed to your wellbeing. Insights can occur when you're talking to someone who is really consistently hearing you, someone who knows how to fully engage you in the conversations you most want to have so that your life gets better, someone who has experience helping people move through life's challenges. Our goal is to take the time to get to know you, your experiences, values, and goals to support you through difficult times & changes.

We specialize in working with clients experiencing:

Couples Therapy

A relationship goes through numerous phases during its life cycle and getting support in navigating some of the trickier bits can be very helpful. My work with couples (of any sexual orientation) includes reducing conflict, improving communication, changing problematic patterns, and creating a more intimate and ultimately satisfying relationship. Deciding to go to couples therapy does not mean that your relationship is "doomed" or going to fail - it means that you are willing to put in the work to improve the quality of your relationship.

Couples therapy can benefit couples in committed relationships, those preparing for marriage or recently married, couples who have been together for 50+ years, those deciding to go through the separation process, or anything in between.

Premarital Therapy

  • Is the excitement you feel about starting a new life with someone being effected by the anxiety of how it is all going to work?
  • Can you be certain that your current communication style will serve you in the future?
  • Have you discussed your values with your significant other and how they are going to be woven into your life together?
  • Would you like to feel more confident knowing you have the communication tools to have the more difficult conversations?

No matter how compatible you are, working on being good partners as early as possible can reap exponential rewards.

The work it takes to make a relationship really work for both parties is ongoing, but the good news is that with the right tools- it actually gets progressively easier (and more fun). The benefit for doing this type of work early (as opposed to later) is that you get just that much more time to really enjoy being together.

Family Therapy

Family therapy can help your family address specific issues that may be effecting the psychological health of your family system (i.e. major life transitions or mental health conditions). It can be incorporated as a complementary approach or used as the central mode of treatment. The goal throughout most family therapy is to assist individuals to improve communication, coping skills, problem-solving, and increase connection to each other. Family therapy can involve the whole family, or just certain members (i.e. mother & son, father & children, or any combination).
